On Saturday, January 7, Katonah Fire Department's Truck Committee and the department's three fire chiefs braved the winter storm to visit Twin Lights in Milford, CT, the place where our new engine is getting its final touches done. The group went over the entire truck, indicating where all the equipment will go, discussed the striping and other details, and went through a "punch list" of items that need to be taken care of. The HME-brand 4X4 engine, which was built in Wyoming, Michigan, will be at Twin Lights for another two weeks while equipment is mounted. It will then make its way to KFD where it will beput into service, replacing our recently sold Mini-Attack 15.
