Cars donated by the families of two KFD members provided valuable firefighting training during a drill this past Monday night when they were set on fire and then extinguished by teams of firefighters. In previous weeks, the cars were used to practice motor vehicle accident rescue and extrication procedures. The ability to use donated vehicles multiple times for training evolutions is essential to keep firefighters' skills sharp. It's valuable hands-on learning that can't be duplicated in a classroom. KFD wishes to thank the DeAlto family and the Christofferson family for donating these vehicles.
