The rain held off and huge crowds lined Katonah's streets Wednesday night as Katonah Fire Department kicked off the 2019 Carnival with its annual parade. Dozens of area fire departments attended and marched through town, led by KFD's apparatus and personnel. Following the parade, the carnival opened behind KFD Headquarters. The Westchester County Parade Judges evaluated the parade. Trophies were awarded at the end of the night to those participating fire departments and bands per scores determined by those judges. The carnival continues tonight, starting at 6 p.m. and will again be open on Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. All are welcome!
