KFD members had their Fourth of July holiday interrupted with a reported car fire on the Exit 6 ramp from I-684 NB. The call came in at about 12:30 p.m. Engine 115, Tanker 6, Car 2212 & 2213 responded. Upon arrival, Car 2212 reported a fire in the engine compartment of a red Corvette. Engine 115's crew deployed a trash line and extinguished the fire relatively quickly. Fortunately, the car's occupants were not injured and they were able to get out of the vehicle on their own. Katonah units were back in service by 1:15pm.
