Katonah FD held its annual inspection and dinner on Friday, October 24. Over 120 people from Katonah FD and neighboring departments, along with area politicians, attended. David Corsino, Ex Chief, was presented with an engraved axe in recognition for his services as chief during 2013-2014.
Firefighter of the Year went to Firefighter and Ex-President Scott Whalen Junior Firefighter of the Year went to Firefighter Jack Dealto. His father, Firefighter Frank Dealto, accepted the award on his behalf, as Jack is up in college.
The Michael J. Vuotto Award was presented to Firefighter, Ex-Captain, Ex-Commissioner and Ex-President Bob Hickey.
Apparatus awards were also given out. First prize, with a $200 gift card, went to Rescue Company and Rescue 17. Second prize, with a $100 gift card, went to Ladder Company 3 and Ladder 39. Third prize, with a $75 gift card, went to Engine and Hose Company 2, and Engine 116.
