At about 6 p.m. on Monday, July 13, Katonah Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Jay Street. Upon arrival, Car 2211 reported a car had veered off Jay Street and had gone down a narrow driveway at 205 Jay Street, sheering the bark off one tree and hitting a second tree head on. Rescue 17, Engine 115 and MA-15 responded, along with Cars 2212 and 2213. KFD crew assisted with directing traffic, and with ensuring that the accident scene was safe. The driver was treated for minor injuries and transported by Katonah-Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Units were operating for approximately 40 minutes.
