KFD was out in full force all this week during Fire Prevention Week. We visited just about every school and day care center in our fire district. KFD apparatus and personnel were out at Discovery School, Little Feet Day Care, Country Children's Center, Katonah Village Kids, and Katonah Elementary School. Firefighters handed out cool souvenirs and gave vital safety information to the kids, including how to stay safe, how to get out of a burning building, and how to recognize a firefighter in all his or her gear. We were really excited to visit so many kids. We'd like to thank the participating day care center and schools for working with us to arrange visits!
