On the morning of Sept. 18th, Engine 115's crew, enroute to a Standby in the Village of Ardsley, stopped by the Annual 5th Grade Car Wash at Katonah Elementary School to give our 2010 Smeal Pumper a good cleaning. Eager KES students swarmed all over the engine, giving it a thorough scrub down. Then, our sparkling clean engine continued on Ardsley Fire Department for the day, while Ardsley marched in the Westchester County Volunteer Fireman's Association parade.
Shortly after 115 got cleaned the 5th graders were in for another surprise when Ladder 39, car 2213, and KBHVAC's 65B3 all arrived for their opportunity for a good cleaning. Thank you to our KES class of 2022; we'll be sure to call when it's parade season!
