On Sunday afternoon, April 17, Katonah's MA-15 and Utility 8 were dispatched to assist Somers Fire Department at a brush fire on Route 100. Katonah's apparatus staged on a grassy area between the brush fire and a nearby office building, protecting the building's exposure. Units were operating for approximately two hours. KFD advises the public to please be careful during this dry spell of weather, as the risk of brush fires is very high.
