At around noon today, Katonah Fire Department was dispatched to a Jeep/snowplow vehicle fire at the on-ramp to I-684 South near the split with the Saw Mill River Parkway. Engine 115 responded and upon arrival, reported the vehicle fully involved. Tanker 6 and Utility 8 arrived on scene soon afterwards. Engine 115's crew attacked the fire with a pre-connected hoseline. The fire was brought under control quickly, and units remained on scene while hot spots were extinguished. The vehicle's occupants were not injured, and the scene was turned over to New York State Police. Katonah units were operating for approximately one hour.
