On Saturday evening, September 20, Katonah Fire Department was dispatched to a three-vehicle accident under the Route 35 Overpass. A ladder fell off of a van and landed in the middle of the highway. A car behind the van swerved to avoid the ladder and pulled over to the side of the road. A second car attempting to avoid the ladder lost control under the bridge and rolled over down the embankment. Fortunately, the driver was able to climb out of the vehicle. KFD members assisted with traffic control. Units were on the scene for approximately one hour.
