High winds on Thanksgiving Day brought down a tree across Jay Street near Pine Hill Drive, effectively closing the road and shutting down power to area residents. KFD responded with Car 2211 and Engine 117. Traffic was detoured down Mustato Road while NYSEG dealt with the downed wires and the Town of Bedford removed the tree. KFD units were on scene for a little over an hour. Fortunately, the fallen tree did not damage any vehicles or property.
