Katonah Fire Department teamed up once again with the Katonah Chamber of Commerce to escort Santa into town on Saturday. Riding an ATV donated by Arroway Tractor, Santa drove through downtown Katonah Avenue accompanied by Car 2211, Engine 116, Ladder 39, Rescue 17 and Utility 8. Santa then parked behind Chase Bank, and handed out candy canes and posed for pictures with kids. Afterwards, he was escorted through town to the Katonah Shopping Center, and then to DeCicco's supermarket, where additional kids were waiting to see him. The sunny weather, along with the enthusiastic crowds, combined to make a terrific launch to the holiday season.
