At about 6:30 Wednesday evening, Katonah Fire Department's Ladder 39 was dispatched mutual aid to Bedford Village for a reported chimney fire on Guard Hill Road. Ladder 39, along with Car 2211, arrived on scene. Ground ladders were used to help firefighters gain access to the roof and to the chimney that was located to the rear of the structure. Ladder 39's crew assisted Bedford Village and Bedford Hills firefighters in bringing the chimney fire incident under control. There were no injuries, and Katonah units were released after operating at the scene for about 40 minutes.
