| Firefighters had to battle both hot weather and flames as they fought a motor vehicle fire late Monday morning. Katonah Fire Department was dispatched at about 1045 AM to a reported motor vehicle fire on Cross River Road at the I-684 interchange. A vehicle in the west bound lanes of Cross River Road was fully involved as Engine 115 and Tanker 6 arrived on scene. Engine 115's crew immediately went to work extinguishing the fire while Tanker 6 set up in order to feed 115 additional water, if needed. The fire was put out in about 15 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes of overhaul. There were no injuries, and Katonah units were back in service by 1145. |
