Katonah Firefighters were called out Sunday morning to assist with the rescue of a rider who had suffered injuries after falling off a horse on the Bedford Riding Lanes Association (BRLA) trail in the Beaver Dam Sanctuary near Beaver Dam Road. Cars 2211, 2212, 2213, Rescue 17, Ladder 39 and Utility 8, along with Katonah Bedford Hills Ambulance and Bedford Police's all-terrain vehicle, responded to the BRLA trailhead on Beaver Dam Road to assist with stabilizing the rider and transporting her to the waiting ambulance. The rescue was completed witihin the hour and Katonah Fire units were back in service by 11 AM.
