We're not usually called "up north", but Katonah Fire Department was happy to be available to help out Mahopac Fire Department while it was engaged in fighting a house fire early Saturday morning. The request for both an engine and a tanker came n at about 5:45 AM Saturday morning, March 27. KFD personnel staffed Engine 115 and Tanker 6, and, along with Car 2211, went to Mahopac's headquarters on Route 6 and stood by for the next five and a half hours, ensuring fire protection for the district. KFD was released at about 11:13 AM.
