A return to tradition marked this year's Memorial Day commemoration, with Katonah Firefighters, along with Boy and Girl Scout troops, Katonah-Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and town officials marching in the Memorial Day Parade, in partnership with Katonah American Legion Post 1575. The Tappan Zee Bridgemen band provided patriotic music as the parade wound its way from Katonah Fire Department Headquarters, down Katonah Avenue, and up to Lawrence Circle, where the laying of the wreath at the war memorial was done, and Taps, the Star Spangled Banner, and a rifle salute were carried out. The procession then went down Bedford Road to Katonah Fire Department Headquarters, where a second wreath laying was done at the memorial bell in front of the firehouse. Enthusiastic crowds, eager for a return to some kind of normalcy, lined the parade route.
