Earlier today, at about 10 AM, an observant neighbor noticed flames from the rear of their neighbor’s home on Cross River Road. They investigated it and located a gas fed pool heater that was on fire. KFD was dispatched and responded to the scene, extinguishing the fire. Car 2212, Engine 116, and Tanker 6 responded. Concurrently, Utility 8 responded to a commercial alarm at Katonah Elementary School, which, fortunately, turned out to be a non-issue. Later on, KFD was dispatched to an alarm on Maple Avenue, but, fortunately, it turned out to be accidental.
