Late Tuesday night, at around 11:30 PM, Katonah Fire Department's Tanker 6 was among the many Northern Westchester County tanker trucks called to assist Bedford Village Fire Department at a large house fire on Meadow Brook Road. Car 2041 arrived on scene and reported fire through the roof. Fortunately, the family was able to evacuate the home safely. Bedford Village's Engine 110 arrived on scene, pulled into the driveway, and began attacking the fire. Tanker 6 was the first tanker truck on scene. It, too, pulled into the driveway and immediately began feeding its 3,500 gallons of water to Engine 110. Meanwhile, Bedford Hills Fire Department's Tower Ladder 57 arrived and pulled into the driveway behind Tanker 6. Tanker 6 tied into TL 57 and began feeding its aerial deluge gun, in addition to feeding Engine 110. Additional water was provided by mutual aid tankers and five-inch hose laid up the driveway and tied into Tanker 6. It took firefighters close to five hours to extinguish the fire and put out various hot spots throughout the structure. Later on during the following morning, at about 9:30, Tanker 6 was dispatched again to the same location to assist Bedford Village since the fire had rekindled.
