Katonah firefighters were dispatched at about 12:20 Saturday for a motor vehicle accident. Engine 115, Rescue 17, Car 2211, Car 2212, and Car 2213 responded to the on-ramp from Route 35 to I-684 S for a fluid spill following a car accident. Fortunately, the occupant was not injured. Crews stopped the fluid spill, and also removed one of the car's tires from where it had been wedged in the guardrail. Units were on the scene in 12 degree weather for about 30 minutes, doing traffic control and scene safety. KFD units were back in service by 1 PM.
