Just before midnight, Tanker 6 was requested to Dept. 203's first due area for a working structure fire. Bedford Hills Car 2032 (Chief Nickson) updated incoming units of a 2.5 story structure with heavy fire through the roof. Cars 2212, 2213, and Tanker 6 were responding immediately on the assignment. Tanker 6's crew was requested to the fire floor to assist Bedford Hills firefighters with pulling ceilings and knocking the fire down. Car 2212 (Chief Pappas) and Car 2213 (Chief J. Corsino) were acting as additional safety officers for Mount Kisco Car 2284 (Chief Hughes). Capt. Waful, FF Bauer, FF Juarez, and FF Whalen operated on the fire floor and pulled ceilings to gain access to the fire. Lt. Hirschberg, Lt. Patierno, and Car 2033 (Chief Dennett) were opening up and knocking down the fire on the fire floor as well. All personnel exited the structure when the chimney collapsed. After the main body of fire was knocked down, Lt. Whalen and FF Whalen entered the structure to assist with hitting hot spots and pulling additional walls and ceilings. Katonah units were on scene for about five hours.
