Tuesday evening, at about 2111, KFD volunteers were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident on I-684 NB at mile marker 16.Rescue 17, Engine 117, and Car 2213 responded. It turned out that the accident, involving three cars, occurred at mile marker 19 on the Interstate, in the Golden's Bridge Fire District. As KFD units were already on the road, they continued in to establish traffic control and scene safety. They were soon joined by Golden's Bridge Car 2141 and 2143, along with Engine 138 and Rescue 25. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries. Crews from both departments were operating until about 2240.
