Katonah Fire Department Volunteers were out in the community Friday and Saturday. On Friday evening, a crew took Engine 115 and Utility 8 to the town of Bedford Newcomers Event at Bedford Hills Memorial Park. New town residents were able to stop by and find out about volunteer opportunities with the fire department, and a host of other community organizations. On Saturday, we took Engine 115 and Car 2213 up to the annual Katonah Elementary School Fifth Grade Car Wash to give them a good scrubbing. It's always a good time, and it's terrific seeing the kids swarm all over the apparatus!
