At approximately 6:18pm, Yorktown FD, Millwood FD, and the Ossining FAS-Team were dispatched to Kitchawan Road for smoke in the structure. Millwood FD Car 2251 arrived on located with heavy fire showing from the D side basement window. YHFD 2535 transmitted the 10-75, which brought tankers from Katonah, Croton, Pocantico Hills, Millwood, and Somers. YHFD 2535 requested Tanker 6's manpower to the scene to assist with operations. Tanker 6's crew split into two groups. Three firefighters went into the basement where the fire was to assist with fire suppression, ventilation, and opening up walls and ceilings. Two additional firefighters assisted in rescuing the family's pets by providing oxygen for them. After about an hour of operating, Car 2211 and Tanker 6 were released.
