On Monday, KFD was one of many mutual aid fire and EMS agencies dispatched to the Village of Port Chester to assist that fire department in fighting a three-alarm fire that started in an empty building and spread to a second structure. KFD's Tanker 6 went down to assist with maintaining an adequate water supply for Port Chester. After making several water dumps, Tanker 6 was released at about 3:30 having spent about three hours in Port Chester.
