At about 8 AM Sunday morning, Katonah Fire Department's Ladder 39 was dispatched mutual aid to a house fire on Salem Road in Pound Ridge. Ladder 39 joined mutual aid engines, rescues, and tanker trucks from Golden's Bridge, Bedford Hills, Banksville, Millwood, Mount Kisco, Vista and South Salem, along with Westchester County Department of Emergency Services. Upon arrival on the scene, Ladder 39's crew went to work, assisting with fire extinguishment and overhaul under hot, muggy conditions. The occupants of the house fortunately were not injured. KFD was back in service little after 11 AM.
