Stubborn Tree Fire Extinguished

Early Thursday morning, KFD volunteers were dispatched to the area of Deer Park Road, where a tree had caught fire behind a residence. Engine 117, with Car 2212, initially responded and the crew deployed with a preconnected hose line to begin extinguishing a large tree that was actively burning. Soon, Car 2213 arrived to assist, and afterwards, Car 2212 requested Tanker 6 for additional water and Utility 8 with additional personnel. Units were on scene from about 6:45 to 8:14 AM.
