At about 1:20 PM on Sunday, November 12, Katonah Fire Department volunteers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with reported extrication at the intersection of Interstate 684 and Route 35. Cars 2211, 2212, and 2214 responded along with Engine 115, Engine 117, and Utility 8. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the occupant had fortunately self extricated. The car involved ended up on a hill overlooking the interstate near Old Deer Park Road. Katonah Fire Department personnel, assisted the occupant and established a safe zone and traffic control until the tow arrived to remove the car from the scene.
