Snowy Friday Leads to Several Motor Vehicle Accidents

Katonah Fire Department volunteers were kept busy during Friday's snowy weather, responding to several motor vehicle accidents. In all cases, there were fortunately only minor injuries, although traffic was slowed down on major roadways. The first accident was reported at 7:48 AM at the intersection of Jay Street and Route 22, near Reservoir Road. KFD units were on scene until about 8:44 AM. Later that afternoon, at about 1 PM, an accident was reported on I-684 NB near the overpass for Beaver Dam Road. Finally, at about 9:30 PM, KFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on I-684 SB near the Beaver Dam Road Bridge. Units responding to these calls included Cars 2211, 2212, and 2213, along with Rescue 17 and Engine 115. Personnel assisted at all three incidents with scene safety and traffic control.
