14 years ago, Katonah Fire Department Volunteers were dispatched to a structure fire at the Deer Park Tavern on Old Deer Park Road at about 2:00 am after a garbage carting company in the area saw the flames. After forcing the front doors, an aggressive interior attack was performed by the first due crew of Engine 116, but unfortunately, the structural stability of the main floor gave way, causing firefighters to combat the fire by alternate means. There are no fire hydrants in the area, which required an extensive tanker shuttle operation.
