Standing in the Rain, in Full Uniform . . . Why?

Rainy weather didn't keep KFD volunteers away from taking photos for our 150th Anniversary. Katonah Fire Department members showed up Saturday, March 2, for an all-day session to take photos that will be featured in our 150th Anniversary Journal. Apparatus photos, Past & Current Chiefs, Company Photos, Officer Photos, 50 Year Member Photos, Firefighter of the Year Photos, Rookie of the Year Photos, Michael J. Vuotto Award Winner Photos, and, of course, a Department Photo were all taken in a steady, but not drenching rain, under the capable guidance of KFD member and photographer Gabe Palacio. The event is one of several planned to commemorate Katonah Fire Department, which was formed in 1874. Of course, we can't show you the "good" photos--you'll have to wait until our journal is published to see those. But included here are some candid and informal photos of the day.
