KFD Performs the Ulti-Mutt Dog Rescue

Sunday afternoon, KFD responded to the Muscoot Reservoir beneath the Jay Street overpass for a report of a dog in the water. Crews met the dog’s owner, who said her dog had jumped out of her car and off the overpass into the reservoir. The dog swam to a nearby island but needed a boat rescue. KFD launched its inflatable Zodiac boat and brought the dog back to shore. The dog was returned to her owner, appeared uninjured, and was in good spirits after the rescue.
