Bedford Hills Fire Department invited Katonah Fire Department to join them in training at the Class A Burn Building at the County Training Center in Valhalla. Engine 116, and cars 2211 and 2213 accompanied BHFD's 2031, 2032, 2033, Engine 199 and Tower Ladder 57 down to the center on Saturday morning. Unlike the county's propane burn building, the Class A Burn Building utilizes wooden pallets and straw to create real fire, heat and smoke inside the structure, thus closely simulating an actual fire situation. Throughout the morning, different evolutions were completed, with teams doing fire suppression, search and rescue, ladder operations, and safety. Fireground communications and command procedures were also practiced. KFD would like to thank BHFD for extending the invitation to train with them.

Units: KFD E-116, Cars 2211, 2213, BHFD E-199, TL57, Cars 2031, 2032, 2033.
