At about 4:30 PM Thursday, Katonah Fire Department was dispatched to a reported multi-vehicle accident on I-684 north near Exit 6. The accident occurred in the left lane of the interstate. Rescue 17, Engine 115, Engine 117 and Car 2211 responded. A safe zone was established in the left and center lanes of the highway, and much of the rush hour traffic was diverted to Exit 6 while the vehicles' occupants were assessed by WEMS and KBHVAC personnel. Fortunately, injuries were minor. Katonah units were on scene until about 5:15, when the damaged vehicles were towed and the interstate was reopened.
