Busy Saturday Caps Activity-Filled Week for KFD Volunteers

This past week was very busy for KFD volunteers. In addition to responding to various calls throughout the week some highlights are: --Members went to the fire training center for live fire evolutions last Monday. --Engine 115 covered the Bedford Fire District while they operated at a structure fire in their district. A series of activities and calls highlighted this past Saturday: --members of KFD’s Rescue Task Force participated in a large scale active shooter drill with the rest of the Town of Bedford 1st responders at the Fox Lane Campus. --Tanker 6 and Ladder 39 responded to a reported structure fire in Golden’s Bridge --Cars 2211, 2212, 2213, Rescue 17, and Engine 115 responded to an MVA on Golden's Bridge Road near Edgewood Road. And on Monday night, a drill was held focusing on truck operations and aerial and ground ladder positioning.
