At about 12 noon today, KFD was dispatched to an odor of burning in a garage at a home in town. Upon arrival of KFD units, they located a fire within the garage. One preconnected hose line was stretched and the fire was extinguished. No significant damage to the structure and no injuries were reported. Thanks to Bedford Hills Fire Department volunteers, who were out on the border of their district doing testing and responded to assist. Thanks also to Golden's Bridge Fire Department for sending an engine to cover KFD in case of additional alarms.
