At about 5 PM Tuesday afternoon, Katonah Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Harris Road south of the I-684 overpass. It was Katonah's fourth fire call of the day. Rescue 17 and Engine 115 responded. Upon arrival, KFD personnel deployed to check on the two vehicles, one of which had flipped onto its side. Fortunately, the drivers of both vehicles were not seriously injured. Nevertheless, Katonah-Bedford Hills Ambulance Corps did transport two occupants from the flipped vehicle to Northern Westchester Hospital to get checked out. Harris Road was closed in both directions while the scene was made safe and the people involved were evaluated. Katonah units were on scene until about 6 PM, when both vehicles were towed and the road was reopened.
