Saturday night, Katonah Fire Department members gathered in person for the Annual Inspection. They were joined by representatives of neighboring departments, who inspected the KFD membership and the apparatus. Various honors were handed out during the dinner, including for top responders for the year. The 2021 Firefighter of the Year Award went to Lieutenant Laurie DeRosa. The 2021 Rookie Firefighter of the Year went to Firefighter Brad Holcman, while the Michael J. Vuotto Distinguished Service Award went to firefighter Frank DeAlto. As for apparatus inspections, the top award went to Ladder 39.
