On Sunday April 24th, Katonah Fire Department and Bedford PD along with local politicians and other agencies assembled at Bedford PD HQ for the annual Sgt Wade Memorial Service. Sgt. Wade was a member of KFD and employed by Bedford PD. He was killed in the line of duty on May 9th, 1925 after being involved in a motor vehicle accident on Route 35. His family was in attendance, laying flowers at a monument dedicated to him and his service. We will always remember Sgt. Wade’s and his family for the sacrifice made by him that day.
