KFD volunteers were able to get some valuable live fire training during the Monday, August 4 drill. A donated vehicle that had been used in a previous drill to practice vehicle extrication skills, was put to use in a vehicle fire drill. These live fire experiences are invaluable for members, as our district covers several busy roadways, including I-684, the SMRP, Route 35, and Route 22. Individuals who donate their vehicles are able to claim the donation on their taxes. If you are interested in donating a vehicle for us to drill on, send an inquiry to chiefs@katonahfd.org.
